Get In, Loser - We're Going Defaulting! Part 1 of potentially many

Alternatively titled "holy shit I forgot how fugly the Maxis hair and clothes are." Time to fire up the FIATRON 69000 technicolor death ray and kick off my mission to banish bland colors, straw hair textures, and hideous sandals into eternal oblivion. (Sorry if that's your thing, but if it is, you wouldn't be here now, would you?

None of these are going to be done in any kind of specific order - when I find something I want to use or have an idea and feel like doing it, I do it and throw it in a folder, and I'll be uploading them in batches that may or may not be related. Of course, this is an ongoing project alongside the 95278283 other things I'm doing with TS2, and I have no idea how far I'm going to get.

I do defaults using the methods in Mooglesims' and Marja's tutorials - unlike the very old way of doing it, these will allow you to have custom recolors of both the replacement mesh AND the original Maxis one with no issues!



This first part contains 9 base game hair defaults, two of which are edits offurbyq's I expanded upon that also have custom versions! These are:

• fhairshortslick
• mhairfrontalwave
• mhairmulletlong

Hairs will generally come in this palette, with Explosive instead of Molotov for afro-textured/natural black hairs.



I am, however, incorporating gradients, streaks, and other specialty recolors - some of those will be natural-based and occasionally fully unnatural, because that's how I roll. Ages will be added whenever possible for versatility, since it's easy to do anyway.

fhairlongfuzzycp replaced with Sintiklia Ersel 3t2 (17608 polys). This is just Furbyq's default made all ages. the retexture & recolors are hers.



But wait! There's MOAR! A while back, before I decided to default ALL the things, I had made these custom. So I put them on Jessy's F2M conversion as well, and made more recolors in the same style for both F & M.



Like I said, custom recolors will work with all my defaults, so if you use both you can toss the F recolors in the default swatch above. Those (except the gray one) come in binned and non-binned options, so choose one set. There are 16 recolors in total:

fhairacorntuck replaced with Newsea Sweet Scar (8738 polys). This is also Furbyq's default from the same post, but with Io's textures blended in for consistency since I wanted to do a full custom set with solid unnaturals.



And the custom version, which comes in my current chosen palette with the same gradients on all the naturals (you can toss Isis, Nesert, Serqet, and Molotov if you use the default with these).



The unnaturals are fully Io textures and use the same headbands, I didn't do a swatch but I just paired them with whichever looked best. I still keep unnaturals in custom for uploading so you can decide whether to bin or not as you prefer.

mhaimulletlong - one of my most hated hairs - replaced with Furbyq's F2M conversion and awesome gradient recolors of Wings ON1020 (11908 polys). Why couldn't EAxis have given us a delightfully goofy 80s mullet instead of that atrocity?



This is for CM-EM, and there's one recolor only accessible through the mirror in-game (and in CAS too, unless I have a mod for that? idk)
