Spooky Scary Spectacular 2023!

Hi my name is Fia Dark’ness Dementia Satan Way and I have short white hair like the Devil's daughter (that’s how I got my name) that reaches my neck and icy blue and gold eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Laegrinna (AN: if u don’t know who she is get da hell out of here!)

Ahem. Anyway.

I've been working on this project for over a month and for the 975686569th time went way overboard and didn't get it posted in time. Oh well, it's always Halloween in my game, and better late than... dead I guess? Sure, that sounds spoopy.

You may be wondering... why are there TWO Laegrinnas? Did she clone herself? Nope. Her doppelganger is Celia Mevious, whose ancestor's soul was stolen by the Devil as punishment for betrayal, and he used half of it to create Laegrinna. So Celia is her... descendant? I don't know, It's Complicated™. They are twins in my game (which also makes Velguirie her sister), because TS2 family trees don't go back 3000 years and take stolen souls into account. Celia is central to the plot of Deception IV: Blood Ties - I should have put her in the game alongside Laegrinna, but I didn't intend for my game to include more than a few characters, namely the two pairings I ship. That's changed...

I converted ALLLLLL of Sherahbim's vampire gowns to some bodyshapes I use! There are repo'd and standalone versions for each set. Repo'd files reference the "TEXTURES" bundle, so it's required for them to show up properly. All bodyshapes are BSOK'd, AF has the option of BSOK'd or not. All include both Maxis and smooth hands meshes so choose one or the other.

The repo'd version of the files also includes the original AF for your convenience. These have been renamed to match the rest of the set, so if you have the original files be sure to delete them. Demise and Recreation - Sherahbim's Vamp Gown, Vamp Gown 2, & Gothic Gown for CPU, Vol Gal, & Dummy Thicc

I don't know why the first of these was "Vampire Gown" and the previous one was "Vampire Gown 1," but anyway, the big poofy one. There are 2 sets of 6 recolors each - Sherahbim's originals, 5 by me, and 5 by Jane that she posted here. I also threw in Sherahbim's Gothic Gown since it uses the same mesh, which makes the total 13 and I swear it was unintentional.



I really didn't like the original fat morph on the AF mesh so I edited it and added a preg morph as well. I don't make clothes for non-adult ages anymore but since Jane did a TF version for hers I included one too for the recolors on the top row I did (not shown, Lilia - the yellow haired sim - is an adult, she's just very short 😂).The repo'd version includes Sherahbim's original AF and Jane's AF & TF files referenced to my texture bundle. Please note that the standalone version has a required file for the bump maps to save space (otherwise the total file size was going to be 50 MB, yikes.) Since the skirt on this dress is already big, the Dummy Thicc one kind of... eats half the sim's arms when they're down, which can't be helped due to the nature of TS2 bodyshapes. Unholy Choir - Sherahbim's Vamp Gown 3 with Corinne's Heels for AF, CPU, Vol Gal, Dummy Thicc, & Ren Gal

The original version of this dress had blockfeet, and I wanted shoes on it. I ended up choosing Corinne's Psycho Punkabilly heels because I also needed a mesh to make Caelea and Veruza outfits based on the ones they have in Deception IV. (said outfits are highly specific so Caelea (blue hair) is modeling the original recolor here). I used colors by Pooklet and Furbyq which turned out SO nice on this fabric texture. I made a nice even 12 and then remembered oh yeah, the original dress... so again I ended up with 13.



I have further plans for both Gelydh's original dress mesh and Corinne's that the shoes came from, so look for those in the near future 😉 Everyday & formal, all morphs, polycounts are 2816 (Maxis hands), 4624 (smooth hands).

Creeping Shadows - Sherahbim's Vamp Gown 4 & Curvy Witch for CPU, Vol Gal, Dummy Thicc, & Momma Lisa

And finally, the 4th vamp gown and the Curvy Witch dress from this post since it also uses Liz13's mesh I converted. This only comes in the two recolors, but I may do more with it at some point. The repo'd version includes Sherahbim's AF files and an edited mesh with new morphs since again I wasn't a fan of the original (it uses the same package file so it'll still work with Liz13's version if you prefer it). The recolor set for this one's a bit different - it comes in the 12 naturals I use with unnatural streaks, and 12 multicolor streak combos. I started off naming them things like "Spoopy" and "Creppy" but then, inspired by the Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way sim someone on Tumblr salvaged from the Exchange that I made over (who's modeling the hair), I named the rest of them with My Immortal references.

I originally did this hair as a request years ago, just used the original hair tie colors, dismissed it as "too weird" for my game and banished it to the cold, dark abyss that is my portable hard drive backup Man, 2019 Fia was a basic bitch. So the infamous Peggy Unicorn Horn strikes back, this time in my current mostly-unnatural color selection with different tie color combos that probably look identical to everybody but me. I doubt anyone else will use this (well, at least not unironically) but what the hell. Here's a swatch of the color combos.

God do I love finding obscure old gems of hair meshes, especially when they're super low poly. And Nymphy's gorgeous retexture transformed it into something that still looks amazing in my game in 2023.

DId I mention how much I love old obscure hair meshes? I stumbled across this glorious hair when browsing Pinterest landed me on T$R and it came with a sim. The original creator is long, long gone, sadly, I would've liked to see their other hairs. This time the retexture is mine and Nymphy's curls were perfect for it.

And I have one final gift, something I had wanted to do for ages that's appropriately spooky so I figured I'd throw it in.



Princess of Fate - Lyrics from the main theme of Deception IV: Blood Ties on Aikea Guinea's Half-Height Wall Writing

Princess of Fate is the ending song to Deception IV: Blood Ties (Laegrinna's story). I don't know how accurate the English translation is - I found it on the Deception Series Wiki and as this game was unpopular and (apparently) forgettable there is no longer any other sources of information about it in English. Yeah, my brain tends to fixate on the strangest things... Regardless, the lyrics are filled with hauntingly beautiful dark imagery, and I thought they'd make fantastic old-school GoS-style wall writing.



"Elaborate decision," "sadistic elevation," and "humiliating recreation" all refer to the types of traps Laegrinna uses to defeat her enemies that are provided by her Daemon servants (Caelea, Veruza, and Lilia respectively). The translation may sound stylistically very different from usual English writing, but I think the direct translation from Japanese makes the metaphors unique and profound.

Also, this song is my ringtone. 😄
